You'll feel like family here... But it's quieter!

Evergreen Gate is an architecturally-designed modern home situated on over two acres of beautifully treed riverbank property.

Each season has its charms, from the lush greenery and brilliant flowers of summer, to the radiant fall hues, to the sight of deer picking their way through the snow in the evergreens in winter.

Join us for a memorable get-away in the peace and privacy of our tranquil setting.

We have three unique themed bedrooms. 		the house
Safari Room The Safari Room has a queen-sized bed, overhead fan and individual heating controls. Check availability.
The ensuite bath with jetted tub/shower in the Safari Room. Safari Room
Asian Room The Asian Room has a private bath and shower, queen-sized bed, individual heating controls and overhead fan. Check availability.
The Heritage Room has a double bed, and private bath with tub/shower. Check availability. Heritage Room
lounge A lounge with satellite TV, VCR, and extensive library of Canadiana is for exclusive use of guests.
The guest kitchenette is ideal for preparing snacks or enjoying a private breakfast. kitchen
house The rooms may be rented separately. Two of the rooms combine beautifully as a private two-bedroom suite, ideal for two couples or a family. Children may also be accommodated in the lounge when guests occupy the entire suite.
A delicious full or continental breakfast is served in one of our dining areas or in the airy two-storey screened porch, deck or pergola. Special diets can be accommodated with advance notice. breakfast
hot tub In any season, enjoy a relaxing soak in our outdoor hot tub.

We make every attempt to "reduce the footprint" that we and our guests make upon the earth. Our eco-friendly approach includes:

  • the passive solar and energy-efficient design of the house
  • our recycling and compost system
  • high-efficiency furnace and ceiling fans
  • use of non-toxic cleaners whenever possible
  • flexible towel routine
  • use of "amenities" in larger rather than personal sizes
  • relaxed approach to lawn maintenance (if it rains, it's green, and if it's green, it counts as lawn!)

We hope that our guests will be sympathetic to these efforts.
